Crisis management and distrust: Study of an industrial accident in France

Most crises, whether ecological, humanitarian, economic or even social, are preceded by various warning signals which make it possible to trigger alerts. These alerts prevent limit human and material damage if they delivered on time allow stakeholders (decision-makers, populations, etc.) prepare adequately for the coming crisis. Today, there many systems that can pick up of crises their consequences. Warning one them, have proven effectiveness, but as with any system involving a part unpredictable remains. In this article, we interested in industrial accidents particular fire at Lubrizol factory Rouen (France), classified SEVESO, September 2019. Following interviews population Rouen’s agglomeration, set an example distrust public authorities’ decisions give some leads how information could reconcile populations decision-makers.
